At the age of four with just a drawing of my hand it seemed to be fate that I would pursue a career in the vast world of artistry and artists. However, life took a different turn for a while. After finally calling it quits in the construction industry, which I never really took to heart anyway, I decided to pursue my God given talent. Now I look forward each day to doing what I believe was meant for me all along. To wake up each day and pursue what I love is the best career decision I've ever made.
Several art schools along the way have helped to pave my artistic journey. My favorite was the Maryland College of Art & Design in Silver Spring MD. I found inspiration in outdoor scenery from their "plein-air" studies. While attending a drawing course there, at the age of ten they offered to enroll me as a full-time art student, at which I would have been the youngest student there. Afterwards at the age of ten, I attended a drawing course at The Corcoran Gallery of the Arts and Design in Washington DC. Towards the end of my course there, we were taken upstairs to the art gallery where we viewed artwork from professional artists, which filled me with inspiration as to what I could accomplish. Then many years later in 2001, I took a pastel drawing course at The Ringling College of Art & Design in Sarasota FL. While there, my instructor, a professional artist, suggested that I pursue a career in becoming a professional pastel artist. So finally I am ready with the training, experience, and desire to transform your memories into a work of art that you'll love for years to come. I also create other items as well such as Furniture and other various items. Check them out please. |
